About St. Patrick's
We are happy to share our life with you at St. Patrick’s. As part of the Episcopal Church, we are also members of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Parishes may differ, but in this diversity there are common essential features.
St. Patrick’s is a Church for people of all ages and your children are welcome to attend Services with you. Sunday School for children meets at the 10:00 am in the children’s room. We have a very exciting Christian Education Program. We have a wonderful Social Ministry, a dynamic Senior Activity Program on Tuesdays in the Parish Hall and Soup Kitchen on Thursdays with a full meal.
This is a true, orthodox Anglo/Catholic Parish with bells and smells (incense) at our High Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.
If you are looking for a Church that is clear about the Christian Faith, that recognizes the importance of lay people, that encourages people to grow in the faith they profess, that believes we ought to live so as to make a difference in the world, then,
St. Patrick’s is the Church for you!
- The Episcopal Church is a Bible Church. We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the word of God and our source of belief and moral standards. The Bible is our lens through which we view and evaluate all other truths. Episcopalians are generally not fundamentalist, but we do take the scriptures seriously. The entire first half of our service is scripture.
- The Episcopal Church is a Catholic Church. Catholic means that we adhere to what has been consistently believed and practiced from New Testament times. Our worship and life draw from the rich treasure of nearly two thousand years of Christian experience and discovery. The ancient Creeds, the sacraments, the orders of ministry, the church calendar, and the Book of Common Prayer (which enables us to worship together and not be passive spectators) preserve our link with the historic church founded by Jesus Christ.
- The Episcopal Church is a Reformed Church. What is distinct about us grew out of the reformation in England in the 16th century. Our emphasis on the scriptures and the ministry of lay people comes out of this heritage.
